Energy Conservation Challenge for faculty & staff kicks off
2 04 2007As a result of the success of last semester’s drive, we have decided to extend a similar competition to you as a way of creating cohesion among all of those who use the school’s resources regarding what our sustainability goals as an institution should be.
In the coming days we will be distributing our “Faculty Sustainability Pledge”, a simple list of actions that you can take to help Pomona College become a more environmentally-friendly and sustainable institution. We ask that you check off at least five actions and attach the pledge to your door or another prominent place in order to remind yourself and those around you of the importance of sustainability on campus. We have attached it to this email so you can get started today!
During the month of April, we will be monitoring the energy usage of the various classroom and facilities buildings and comparing the levels recorded to those of previous Aprils. The building responsible for showing the most impressive reduction will be treated to a fantastic PARTY at the end of the month, so you have even more incentive to do all you can to help conserve!
